In the latest in our series of interviews with Precision Hydration users, we chatted to Richard Keatley, who's been using the products for a while and is aiming to bag 100 marathon finishes in 3 years...

Hi Richard, tell us a bit about how you got started in running.

It was off the back of doing a triathlon in 2004, when I did the World Duathlon in Belgium as a reservist.(That's me in the photo above, not the best photo!). I loved running so much that it just had to become my lifestyle.

What are your main goals for 2016 and beyond?

Well, my goal for 2016 is to complete 30 marathons within the year, which I'm still on target for. Then, beyond that I'm looking to make it 67 marathons within 3 years before I hit the big four zero.

What does a typical training week look like for you?

To be honest, my typical training week is just a couple of 5k fast runs around my local area. I also train with the Teignbridge Trotters, 'the best running club in the world'!

What's your favourite food?

My favourite food is cooked chicken salad with sweet potato, avocado and a decent glass of red wine.

Who inspires you?

My partner Sara Inspires me, she's 'my rock'. Also my cousin Martyn Ewers. I did the local races for years and needed a new challenge and it was him who introduced me to the concept of 'race to 100 marathons'.

What Precision Hydration products do you use and how do you use them?

The SweatSalt capsules you guys developed are awesome. They were very useful in the 50 mile endurance run I did a couple months back, one every few hours really did the trick.

I also use the 1500mg tablets, I just find they fit the bill. It'll be nice to have an Advanced Sweat Test done for the Quadzilla (4 marathons in 4 days) in Feb next year, then I'll know exactly how much I'm sweating out and what I need to replace.

Thanks Richard. Best of luck with bagging the 100!
