Caffeine is a proven performance-enhancer and this seasonal espresso delivers ~75mg of caffeine per 100ml, or about 45mg per double espresso. (Yeah, we had it lab tested).

As far as we're concerned there isn't a tastier or more satisfying way to caffeinate before a ride, run or swim, or to simply set you up for the day ahead.

Top tip: Pair a Precision Coffee double espresso with a bottle of PH 1500 to caffeinate and preload about 45 minutes before long or hard workouts to maximise alertness and hydration status.

Precision Coffee

Precision Coffee from our good friends at Pharmacie Roasters is carefully sourced with help from Raw Material who work in Rwanda with Muraho Trading Company. This partnership helps growers increase their quality of production, fetch a higher price for their coffee, and introduces them to new markets.

This Red Bourbon hails from three washing stations; Kilimbi, Rugali and Gisheke, all located in the western Nyamasheke region of Rwanda that skirts the shores of Lake Kivu.

Gito, which means ‘tiny’ in Kinyarwandan, is the name given to these small screen 13 and 14 size beans that are sorted out at the dry mill from individual microlots from the three washing stations. We’ve had the caffeine content lab tested and it delivers ~75mg per 100ml. For reference, a typical double espresso (~60ml) will give you ~45mg of caffeine.

"Caffeine is definitely a performance enhancer, as is Precision Fuel & Hydration, so it makes perfect sense for us to work together on this project"
Rick Curtis - Pharmacie Coffee founder, ultra runner and long time user of PH

The recommended caffeine dose for performance during endurance exercise is 3-6 milligrams per kilogram of bodyweight (~1.4-2.7 milligrams per pound).
