Since 1985, Lotto teams have been a household name among cycling enthusiasts. In 2023, we became the Official Fuel & Hydration partner of this historic team. They race on the biggest stages, including the Tour de France, Paris-Roubaix and Vuelta a Espana, picking up podium finishes and stage wins as easily as they pick up PF 30 Gels.

Performance Manager Nikolas Maes put it best when he said, “Fueling and hydration are two of the most important parts of performance.” So, when dropping by training camp at the start of our collaboration, we learned what each athlete needed to dial in their nutrition so we could find a way to best to support their sky-high fueling needs.

Known as a hotbed of Belgian talent, no rider better lives up to that title than Arnaud de Lie. Arnaud will be reaching for Precision Gels as he aims to defend his Belgian National Jersey in 2025. Joining him in the squad this year are compatriots Cedric Buellens, Arjen Livyns and experienced Italian sprinter Elia Viviani. Elia brings a wealth of racing experience to the team and has has 5 stage victories of the Giro d'Italia to his name

We followed along with them at the Tour de France, with high-speed handoffs of electrolytes and carbohydrates. In fact, our Carb Only Drink Mix was a collaboration that emerged as a way to meet the athletes’ high and strategic fuelling needs.

Team Nutritionist, Britt Lambrecht, explains how the mix helped the team during the Tour. "We used around 280 bottles of Carb Only Drink Mix during the Tour. It really helped us tailor each rider’s plan to their individual needs in different stages. It’s very easy to use, for me when planning race intakes, as well as for the soigneurs when they’re preparing the bottles.”
