Chris Myers

2025 Western States 100 Runner-Up

Chris is a trail ultra runner currently based in Boulder, Colorado. His primary focus is on trail races that are 50k and longer.

Originally from Southern California, Chris relocated to Boulder to pursue trail racing at a higher level. Shortly after relocating, he placed 3rd at Black Canyon 100k in 2024 before securing a top-ten on his debut at the iconic Western States 100. He then finished runner-up at WSER in 2025.

Early in 2024, Chris had a Sweat Test with Precision Fuel & Hydration where he learned he was grossly under consuming sodium in his races. As a chronic cramper, dialing his sodium intake was key to his success at Black Canyon. With the wide array of carb and sodium options of PF&H products, Chris can cater his fueling needs to any race distance or race conditions he encounters.

Outside of running, Chris is a visual effects artist working on both movies and TV shows.

Fueling with Precision has taken my training and racing to the next level. It has helped me perform exceptionally in the highest fields of competition in ultra running.

Chris's Top Tips

  • Overhydrating with plain water before races impacted my performance in the past and so I recommend preloading with electrolytes
  • Eat and train enough for the race you've entered
  • I've been a chronic cramper in the past and so I recommend taking the time to understand your sweat sodium losses.
