My favourite indoor training session: Pro triathlete Sam Appleton

Precision Fuel & Hydration's athletes are sharing their favourite indoor training sessions and pro triathlete Sam Appleton has got a "fun one" for us...

We're keen to get an insight into how our Precision Fuel & Hydration Ambassadors and athletes approach their training indoors and it seemed particularly relevant at the moment as we're looking to add to our own training routines.

There's always a danger that training could get a little stale when training inside the confines of our 'Pain Cave' and so we caught up with pro IM 70.3 triathlete Sam Appleton to hear about his favourite indoor session on the bike.

Sam outlines his VO2 Max session and hopefully it's something that you'll be able to add to your weekly plan on the indoor trainer:

Sam Appleton indoor training session:

  • 6 x maximum effort for 30 seconds
  • 15 seconds of rest between each effort
  • Then a 10-minute spin
  • Repeat the above 3 times

Click here for a printable version of Sam's session.

Let us know how you get on with using Sam's indoor training session as part of your own routine and feel free to get in touch with any questions or feedback by emailing us at hello@precisionfuelandhydration.com.
