Hayden Hawks

Winner of the CCC 100k by UTMB

Hayden is a pro ultrarunner from St George, Utah. After a successful collegiate running career at Southern Utah University, he quickly got into mountain running and ultra running in 2016.

Hayden burst onto the ultra trail running scene with wins at Speedgoat 50k, a 2nd place finish at TNF 50, and a gold medal at the Mountain Running World Champs, before finishing 1st at the iconic CCC UTMB 100k in 2017 and 2024.

He has consistently been considered one of the top athletes in the sport since and has big goals of winning Western States 100, Leadville 100, and UTMB in the coming years with the help of Precision Fuel & Hydration.

Hayden discovered PF&H through his coach and PF&H athlete Robbie Britton. His favourite products are the PF 30 Gels, PF 30 Chews and PF Carb & Electrolyte Energy Drink Mix.

Hayden believes he was under-fueling and not getting his hydration right before he took a Sweat Test and started working on dialling his strategy in with the PF&H Sports Science team. He's now consistently pushing 90g of carb per hour and getting in enough sodium to replace his losses (Hayden loses over 900mg of sodium per litre of sweat and often races in extremely hot conditions for long hours).

Away from sport, Hayden is a father of two children and loves camping, fishing, traveling, and spending as much time outdoors with his family as possible.

Thanks to PF&H’s Sweat Test and scientific advice, I’ve got my strategy dialled in and I know how much carb, sodium and fluid I should be aiming to consume. My hydration and fueling is on point, and that’s helped me achieve some great results!
