Give it a go, it really helps
I'm a mid pack ultra runner and not competitive so never bothered with fueling, but I suffered with cramps on a race, someone gave me a salt tablet and saved my race. I listen to the tea and trails podcast so gave it ago, it helps loads and I know I'm getting good quality fuel and not feeling sick from all the sweets and flat coke

Awesome products for any kind of race!
I've been training the last 6 months for a desert stage race ultramarathon. I have tried many many different gels, chews, bars, powders, etc. For my preferences, theres no question the Precision hydration line up has been where I've landed. Though I wont be taking the gels, they have proved my go to in training, and I particularly like the very mild flavor and easiness on the gut on long runs. After a test to assess degree of salt in my sweat, matching up their product line for use the evening before & the morning before a race and during is straightforward. By combining electrolytes into visible water bottles, I keep my intake of both simultaneously constant to maintain proper electrolyte and water balance in my blood plasma -- both critical for delivering oxygen and energy.
